My name is Ayalah Bottequin, I am a dedicated jewelry designer and artisan who has been exploring the vast field of jewelry making. Being born and raised in Munich, Germany I grew up in an international and artistic environment, learning to speak several languages and always being encouraged to be creative. Liking to draw and constantly working with my hands, for a brief moment I thought of pursuing the carrier of an interior or industrial designer until after moving to Israel where I discovered how to make Peruvian-influenced wire jewelry. It wasn’t long until I started selling my then “Peruvian” jewelry at music festivals and all manner of artistic venues. Wanting to know more, I enrolled in a metalsmithing course at 'Wizo': The Neri Bloomfield School of Design, in Haifa. I enjoy designing and creating with the new techniques I've learned, using materials such as brass, alpaca, aluminium, precious stones and more, always focusing on aesthetics, style and quality, since they are paramount to me. I plan on working with more precious metals in the near future, so stay tuned. Most of my designs are custom made, meaning I create an example piece and the sizing or design can be altered. Also I can start an item from scratch, catering to your every wish! I take my inspiration from my imagination, art, geometry and nature: creating jewelry is my absolute passion although it requires a lot of patience, blood and sweat =). The best part of the process is the before and after effect and I'm the happiest when someone wears my jewelry!
