The inspiration behind this piece is from when I lived in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Copper and turquoise are two colors that represent the artistic landscape found within that city. In addition, one could find beautiful flowering cacti in the surrounding desert around spring time. Aggregating these two themes represents an aspect of the beauty one could find in that area.
Flowering Cactus Turquoise Wire Crochet Copper Cuff combines wire crochet and wire wrapping techniques to create a piece that represents a flowering cactus. The flowering cactus is creating by combining a rustic, tear-shaped blue magnesite stone with handcrafted turquoise decorations. It is just shy of 2″ tall and is 6.5″ in circumference. A small button clasp allows one to easily put on and take off this piece. The copper wire has been treated and should not react when being worn.
