“Thunderstruck” – This is a handsome handcrafted wood pen featuring zebra wood cut in a zig-zag pattern and an aluminum inlay on one side and treated oak on the other. This is a special and unique wood pen any man would be proud to show off and use! ;D

The pen shaft started as a block of zebra wood and a block of oak. The zebra wood was cut into 1/4″ deep blocks and fused into its zig-zag pattern with the aluminum inlay. These were then affixed to the oak backing. The assembly was then shaped and sanded by hand on a lathe. After sanding up to 10k grit, the wood received a 2-part staining. A dark stain accentuated the wood pores, especially in the oak, while a thin coat of 100% pure tung oil brought out the grain. A 9-layer durable cyanoacrylate high-gloss finish topped off this beautiful wood pen.

The setting is a smokey gun metal in high gloss. The cap magnetically snaps into place over both the nib and tail of this cool wood pen. Thunderstruck writes smoothly in black rollerball ink, and ink refills are available in any office supply store. This pen will be cherished for years to come.
