Possessing all of the grandeur of a European antique, this 1905 exquisite formerly Silver plated Creamer and Sugar with Lid was originally made by Derby Silver Co. on May 23 1905.
Obviously this service was unusable in its original condition and I went to work. I sanded, primed and painted,
I decorated with pear strings, gimp, ribbon and handmade clay roses.
The tray is mosaic-ed with a vintage broken china plate rim pieces and centers in the blue Onion Pattern. I grouted in antique White Grout and sealed the mosaic platter.
Freeze Relief Patterns flourish on the set with Handmade Clay Roses, Pearl Strings. I left the markings on the underside of the tray untouched, so it can be identified. The tray did not come originally with this set, it was made by another maker.
Everything needed to set the table for a mid-afternoon refreshment or dinner, even grace the breakfast table. An unusual tea service center piece allows for a spot of berries and scones with friends on a well set table.
