These earrings have solid sterling silver birds suspended from a simple silver chain to give the effect of flight. They are lightweight and have a stud post making them very comfortable to wear.

I believe that birds and feathers are symbols of hope, freedom and joy. I chose to use two doves in this pair of earrings to remind the wearer that even thought they may go through a life experience that challenges them in some way, there is hope and if they spread their wings they can fly. These doves were inspired by the latin quote “Alis volat propriis” which translates as “She flies with her own wings”.
