About the faux opals :
These absolutely stunning gems are the most beautiful green fire opals I’ve seen yet – most have smaller metallic flecks than the other green opals, and the medium green shade of their base has an iridescent shimmer to the glass not seen with all green opals. That iridescent shimmer causes these gorgeous 9mm sparkling faux opal cabochons to show off brilliant shades of silvery green as the light hits the stone from various angles, light which also brings out the sparkle of the many lovely, shiny little flecks of foil that run throughout the translucent glass. Each stone has its own unique pattern and color scheme, but they match very well with one another.

These are fabulous, sparkling & bright, and a rare vintage find! They have flat, unfoiled backs and are in very good condition. These beautiful German stones were probably made sometime between 1945 and 1952.
