This unique purple dragonfly stained glass panel was designed with four shades of purple stained glass. The dragonfly’s body is made with dark purple semi-translucent stained glass, which is extended through the dragonfly wings and braided into the intricate spiraled border design of the tiffany glass panel. The glass dragonfly wings are also made up of solid and streaked shades of translucent purple stained glass. The background of the dragonfly stained glass window design is made with opaque light blue, dark blue, light green and dark green stained glass, accented with translucent strands of sparkling teal, purple and light green swirl stained glass. All of the purple stained glass shades are carried through the spiral border pattern, also accented with sparkling translucent teal and green.

Back lighting makes the solid background pieces of this stained glass panel shine bright teal and lime green, while direct light makes the textures of the purple tiffany glass dragonfly sparkle. This amazing dragonfly stained glass panel never looks the same twice!

The dragonfly stained glass panel is handmade with 441 individually cut pieces of stained glass, created using the traditional “Tiffany” style stained glass method (aka copper foil). It was soldered with 50/50 lead solder alloy, framed with zinc, and then treated with black patina.

Hooks are securely soldered into the frame, and decorative black chain is included for hanging. The whole dragonfly stained glass panel was liberally polished with carnauba wax for shine and to protect from oxidation.
