This mind teaser wood puzzle is made out of solid reclaimed cherry, east coast white maple and mahogany wood. The variety of woods gives each puzzle a unique one of a kind appeal. No two puzzles are the same!

The Soma cube is a solid dissection puzzle invented by Piet Hein in 1933 during a lecture on quantum mechanics conducted by Werner Heisenberg. Seven pieces made out of unit cubes must be assembled into a 3x3x3 cube. The pieces can also be used to make hundreds of other 3D shapes.

there are 240 possible ways to construct a 3x3x3 cube out of these 7 pieces.

Each wood piece is 3/4 of an inch thick. The dimensions of the cube are 2 and 1/4 inches cube. Each piece has been hand rubbed with an all natural, non-toxic food grade butcher block oil to both preserve and protect the wood’s natural beauty. This puzzle also includes a 2 1/2 inch by 2 1/2 inch mahogany wood tray for easy construction of puzzle and attractive display when not being used.
