Shabby Cottage Chic Teapot Lamp, all handmade. A former silverplate teapot, drilled on both ends to hold the rod to fit an electric kit for lighting.
The body of the teapot is covered with a handmade mosaic from chinaplate rims and stained glass, after I sanded, primed and painted it. The lid part has been build up and then enhanced with handmade clay roses, vintage bling, pearls, and much more. The spout holds a rose and a crystal chandelier drop
The shade is also handmade, and the teapot looks as though dodging the rain beneath an umbrella. Two layers of matching, but different fabrics, ribbon, gimp, lace and pearls grace this shade.
This Lamplight offers a softer, relaxed ambience for any room after hours when the harshness of overhead lights lessens the joy of hot chocolate in one’s bathrobe perhabs…..
