This rustic jewelry box is made from a natural branch of Japanese cherry tree sakura wood harvested in Iwakuni, Japan. When closed it looks just like a branch and makes a beautiful natural decor piece with a rustic feel that will look great on your nightstand or dresser.

When open, it features two large and three small chambers for your precious things, one deep chamber at the bottom, a medium chamber in the middle and three smaller chambers perfect for rings and other jewelry on top. This piece is perfectly balanced and will stand with any or both of the drawers open. The hinges are loose enough to let each drawer swing freely.
The top and insides were treated with an all-natural oil and bee’s wax finish that really brought out the beautiful dark spalting in the wood. By comparison, the bottom which remains untreated (shown in the video above) is quite pale, and the finish really brought out the mottled black and gold natural beauty of the wood. Some of the natural bark remains attached to the wood, adding to its rustic beauty.
This is a natural yet stately utility sculpture that will look great in your home and help organize your precious things.
