Why, yes you can…..This one was a Custom Order and SOLD but can be recreated.  A Vintage Cake Dome, Cake Cover and a White Wavy Pedestal Cake Stand. The dome was covered with a handmade Mosaic made from broken, cut china plate rims and stained glass. It was then grouted and sealed, adorned with handmade clay roses touched by lil pearls, like the dew in the morning on the roses on a briar bush.The colors of the Dome were chosen by my client Yellow, Gold, pale green, a lil pink, white and burgundy. A brand new lovely knob attached and Voila – it can be loved for another 50 years.

A lovely remembrance of times gone by. A vintage cake dome cover transformed, primed and painted, changed in appearance with this handmade china plate rim Mosaic and stained glass.

Every cut Mosaic Tile Piece is  placed with utter loving care so as to preserve some of the patterns of the Vintage China Plate Rims.  A lot of patience and work goes into this kind of Mosaic, but I love what I do.
