I have spraypainted in black one of my handcut stencils on the brightly colored pink and orange fabric covering this book. This stencil will only be used on only 3 covers before it is retired, none on identical fabrics, this is number one. The image is of Frida circa 1941.
Inside I have bound a very generous 240 lined pages (front & back) of a white 20# text weight paper. They have been straight stitched using black hand waxed cotton thread, the exposed threads on the spine have been gathered, 3 embellished with a tiny pale gold tone bead. A black elastic band (not attached) is included to hold the journal shut when not in use.
Andrea, Great Journal! Only three others like it, a limited edition. Fabulous!
Thank you, Cari! The other two will be different in some way, whether it be size, binding, paper type etc. None of my books are identical….it must be the “I hate doing something more than once thing” I have!
Great Job Andrea… And my dear is what sets you apart from anyone else… a Unique Handmade Artist!
Love your Journals!
Wow, Andrea you did a fabulous job on the stencil. I really like the colors on this too! Very nice.
Lovely.
Oooh! I love that journal!
