This handcrafted aspen wood wall hanging featuring a stylized hammer and Nordic runes reading “Mjolnir” will look

great in any Norse-enthusiasts room. Mjolnir is the name of Thor’s hammer, a symbol of Norse mythology from ages past.

This wall or door hanger features a metal chain to accentuate the Nordic feel of the piece and can hang just about anywhere in your home. Channels were carved into the back for the chain to allow the piece to rest flush against any flat surface. The sides were beveled, making the art pop out from the wall.

Thor’s hammer and the runes for Mjolnir were wood-burned by hand onto the surface of the piece. The wood burn features a triquetra Celtic knot, a symbol used throughout northern Europe, and was shaded to give a 3D look to the hammer. The dark wood burn contrasts very nicely with the bright aspen wood.
