The off-center face of the Enlightened One was drawn and burned into the wood by hand. The surface edges were beveled with a simple and tasteful scroll. The wood was sanded by hand up to 600 grit to give it a silky smooth feel on the face and sides.

It then received a 3-step finish, starting with 100% pure tung oil to bring out the figure of the maple wood, then a dark stain quickly wiped away to add just the right tone, and finally an orange oil and beeswax finish to seal the surface.

The back features a keyhole hanger. This art piece will hang flush to the wall on any screw or nail.
