The Focal point is the beautifully hand crafted pieces of Karen Hill Tribe silver which is of a high silver content between 99.5% and 99.9% pure silver, Karen silver has a higher silver content than Sterling silver. Consequently, it has a weight, bright satin colour, and feel, all of its own.
Every piece is handmade and individual. The hand-hammered and chased details are wonderful and you can actually see evidence of each piece having been formed by the hands of a Karen craftsmen. These pieces are not usually hallmarked in any way, but I can guarantee their origins. I met some of the Karen Tribe members in Northern Thailand, they live in mountain communities and live very simple lives often making a living from their beautiful textiles, silver work and other crafts.
