Three strand braided statement necklace 17″ and 1 1/2″ Dangle earrings

This piece was lovingly made with hand crafted barrel and drop designed beads in lavender and blue, a generous 10″ braid of deep amethyst with accents of Swarovsky crystal, vintage iridescent lampwork glass, Czechoslovakian crystal and glass.

These very special beads are offered only once or twice a year and by custom order. The beads are hand painted using porcupine quills. I have three basic designs – The Swirls using a beautiful variation of the Pysanky Egg drop-pull techniques. Ornate Filigree, and the detailed painted pieces like my Medicine Wheels.

Each bead is made with recycled wood and dipped in a very special dip that gives them a super shiny thick glass like finish and protects the delicate painting underneath. There are no other beads like them. Each Bead is unique and designed in pairs for excellent symmetry.
