This is a handcrafted live-edge wood reading stand and docking station for Kindle Fire, Kindle Paperwhite, iPad, small tablet, smartphone or other electronic device (not included). It was handcrafted from a tree felled at Quantico, Virginia. It’s a beautiful piece of nature for your desk or table.

It’s perfect for hands-free facetiming or skyping, reading, playing games and keeping your device upright and facing you. The top and facing edge were sanded and polished to 12,000 grit, producing a beautiful shine, then treated with an orange and bee’s wax finish to bring out the grain and beautiful spalting.

The facing edge features a natural split revealing the natural wood within. The contrast of the polished portions and the live edge and split help make this a truly eye-catching work of art. The top surface also features three shallow cups for spare change, paperclips or anything that fits. Edges of the cups were rounded and each features a troughed side to easily extract its contents.

This stand rests on four adjustable legs, ensuring your screen will be level in portrait or landscape mode, including on uneven surfaces. It features a recharge port large enough to accommodate any charger. An “S” shaped groove on the bottom ensures unsightly cords are tucked into the body of the stand.

It was designed specifically for the iPad, but will firmly accommodate Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Fire (not a Kindle Fire HD) and is shown with an iPad and Kinde Fire. The width of the slot dictates which devices will fit, so be sure to check the stats below and measure the thickness of your device (or check its stats online) before ordering to ensure it fits.

I cut the electronic device slot at about 15 degrees, sure to display your Kindle or iPad or other device at just the right angle.
