Amazing swirls of lavender, gold, copper and rich buttery browns flow through the stunning handmade lampwork beads that are the focus of this lovely bracelet set. These sweetly soft glass beads are decorated with raku, topaz and lavender glass on a bright yellow opal base and have been finished in goldstone by outstanding lampwork bead artist Jacqueline Maruri, one of my favorite lampwork bead artists.
When I saw these gorgeous beads, I knew I had to have them. The beautiful delicate Wisteria lavenders are so overwhelmingly complimented by the goldstones that it is hard to look at them without getting lost in the beautiful swirls and twirls within the glass. The diamond coat is crystal clear and these beads are so wonderfully done that it was hard to figure out how best to show them off. They are solid and have a bit of weight to them. The small accent beads are also handmade by Jacqueline and they match the beads perfectly.
After much contemplation, I decided to add them to antique copper settings and to give them extra pizzazz, I created spikes of copper Czech druk beads, lavender Swarovski bi-cones and metallic Swarovski multi-faceted oval beads. All the hand wound beads have been mounted on antique copper colored eye pins with tiny metallic gold toned seed beads to offset the ends. The bracelet is a generous 8 inches in length and has been ended with more Czech druk beads and three crimps with covers. The clasp is antique copper colored and is a comfortable flower toggle clasp. This bracelet is a large 8 inches due to the beads, so if you need it resized, I will happily do that for you.
I created a set of earrings to match the bracelet. The hand wrapped beads in Czech druk and Swarovski have been replicated and then hung from a chainmaille assembled set of earrings that have been mounted on antique copper colored leverback ear wires. The chainmaille is a simple ladder of antique copper colored jumprings with over 20 dangling beads on each earring. The earrings are lightweight and have a lot of sparkle from the abundance of Swarovski crystals.
