Kumihimo is the Japanese art of braiding. This hand braided kumihimo wrap bracelet was made on a marudai, a traditional Japanese braiding stand.

This wrap bracelet was made using red, white, and blue cotton thread. It has a handmade plastic bird charm, which is hand painted red with acrylic paint, and sealed with a polyurethane finish. The bracelet is finished with a silver colored chain, making the bracelet size adjustable.

The red bird charm measures 3/4 inch by 3/4 inch.
The kumihimo braid measures 12.5 inches, and the chain measures 2 inches, and is finished with a lobster claw clasp.
