Turtles have always had a special place in my Heart. They are so fascinating. I often have felt like their unhurried movements held a deeper meaning, trying to tell us humans a secret. While we humans busily go about our lives, running from place to place, the turtle just keeps a steady pace, smelling the flowers and otherwise just taking in life itself and soaking up the sun.
A Jasper Cabochon was used as the shell for the Turtle in the pendant necklace. This one is done in Blue and Clear seed beads on white buckskin. With a peyote stitch rope with a toggle and loop closure.
The pendant is 2 inches by 2 1/4 inches
The necklace is 20 inches.
