This Santa hat was uniquely designed for man’s best friend. The design features traditional Christmas colors with a decorative, ruffled edge and of course comes complete with a big white puffball. Holiday themed dog hats like this make great photo props for your Christmas festivities or holiday family photos.

My doggy Santa hat was designed to fit large breed dogs (as photographed on a golden retriever). But if you’re dog is anything like mine, most hats don’t stay on long. I took this into account and designed my own pattern for this hat. The hat slips around both the dog’s head and ears with no draw strings or other attachments necessary. This unique design makes it much harder for fido to wiggle out of it before you click the shutter. Of course treats help too.

As this hat features an original design, I’ve outlined the wearing instructions below:
1. hold the hat with the white portion facing towards you and the red edging is at the back. The ear holes should be on the side, the Santa hat should be at the top
2. slip both the large red and white holes over your dog’s muzzle and up to your dog’s forehead
3. gently fit the ears into the ear holes
