This unique wool rug is made in the small mountain town of Chiprotvsi in Bulgaria, famous with its beautiful carpets. In 2014 Chiprovtsi carpets entered the World Representative List of the Elements of Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO. This hand woven rug is made using the ancient Bulgarian traditions on a vertical hand loom. The handwoven rug is made of 100% hand-spun natural wool. The kilim rug has a lot of ancient symbols, bringing luck, happiness and prosperity and protecting the home. This handwoven rug is two-sided and could be used on the floor, as a wall tapestry, cover on a bed or sofa.
