Inside this 5.5″ x 9″ art journal I have bound a total of 96 pages (front & back, 48 if you only use one side) I have alternated Strathmore 400 Series 130# watercolor paper and Strathmore 200 Series Bristol board both of which are heavyweight, acid free and buffered to neutralize acid compounds absorbed from the atmosphere or formed through natural aging. I have longstitched the pages with lavender handwaxed cotton thread and the exposed threads on the spine have been gathered with a small gold tone bead. I’ve made the spine extra wide to accomodate a little page warping due to watercolors or the addition of photos, ephemera etc. This book will be shipped with a lavender elastic to help hold it shut.
