This simple, stylish bangle was formed from a nugget of recycled silver, which I created by melting together the surplus pieces from other projects. This was gradually rolled and stretched in a rolling mill, until I had a piece of thick wire long enough to bend around to form a torque style bangle.
The surface has a hammered finish, which gives it a natural, organic look. It was polished, then oxidised lightly to a pale pewter grey colour. The oxidisation has been slightly rubbed back, so that it sits within the hammered indentations, whilst the raised areas show through as silver. This really emphasises the texture of the bracelet.
