This handcrafted pine wood wall hanging featuring a Celtic knot surrounding “Failte,” Gaelic for “Welcome.”

This wall or door hanger features a gold ribbon and can hang just about anywhere in your home. You can change the ribbon to any color to match your decor. Channels were carved into the back for the ribbon to allow the piece to rest flush against any flat surface. The sides were beveled, making the art pop out from the wall.

The wood was sanded by hand up to 600 grit to give it a silky smooth feel but it otherwise untreated. Failte and the Celtic knot were wood-burned by hand onto the surface of the piece. The knot was shaded to give a 3D look to it weaving in and out of itself. The dark wood burn contrasts very nicely with the bright pine wood.
