Faux Turquoise Nugget Necklace with Swarovski crystals Polymer Clay

As another entry into my series of faux turquoise, this necklace is chunky and shiny. The nugget bead is 30mm x 15mm and 10mm thick. It is side to side drilled and modeled and shaped to resemble a true chunk of turquoise. As my other faux turquoise beads, I hand created this with a select mixture of polymer clays and other additions to create the appearance of turquoise.

I have sealed the bead with a varathene coating to give it a bit of a shine as well as protect the surface of the bead.

I added this bead to a 23-inch link silver plated chain. I attached it through the nugget to hold it in place.

There are nine dangles that have been hand wrapped and attached to give the necklace a lot of sparkle and movement. I attached a variety of 4mm and 6mm Swarovski crystals in jet black and turquoise to the dangles.The longest dangle gives the necklace another inch in length.

The necklace is finished off with a silver plated toggle clasp. It is a lightweight piece.

Since I make all my beads myself, this bead cannot be reproduced exactly, so you are getting a one of a kind beaded necklace. While I can make beads similar to this, it still is a one of a kind piece.
