Faux Turquoise Dangle Earrings with Silver Leaves and Chain Handmade
These fantastic faux turquoise drop earrings are decked out in silver chain and lots of silver plated leaves. They are mounted on a leverback earwire and are approximately 2-inches in length. They may look heavy, but they are not.
These beads are fashioned by hand with polymer clay, and then molded and shaped to become the turquoise nuggets that I used for these earrings. I created the beads with three holes in order to substantiate the chains and charms that I wanted to add to the earrings.
The polymer clay turquoise recipe is my own creation and involves a bit of black pepper and black paint to achieve the color that I got with these nuggets. Because they are handmade, the size and length will have a bit of a difference between earrings.
The beads are drilled and I added silver plated findings to attach the chain and charms onto. The center post holds two pretty leaves at the top. I added the top chain to each anchor on the sides of the beads and then attached them to the leverback.
This is a one of a kind set of earrings and part of a series of faux turquoise that I am creating for a special project. I will have a few of these beads extra if you are interested.
