Local produce, treats made from scratch, and handmade treasures await you at the annual Spring Valley Farmer’s Market! This sign looks as though it could be decades old, but it was recently handmade, using salvaged wood. I painted the background white and distressed it to give it an old, weathered look. Through the white paint, you can see some of the wood’s grain and knots, adding to its unique character. The edges of this sign have been sanded down, and you can see worn definition where the two boards meet in the middle. The wording has been done in a hand-mixed spring green color, also sanded a bit to blend in. The crowning jewel on this sign, the farmer on his tractor, has been done in black, and sits prominently in the center of the sign. A saw tooth hanger is attached to the back for easy hanging. This piece, perfect for a kitchen or dining room, measures 26” long by 14 3/8” tall.
