I am LeAllyson from Plum Beadacious and one of my favorite items to make are magnetic retractable badge reels.  These are used to attach your id badge that you are required to wear at work to your clothing in a way that is easy, allows your badge reel to hang straight at all times, and does not harm your clothes by twisting or tearing them.

I wore magnetic retractable badge reels at my job until I retired at the end of 2013.  The retractable cord allowed me to swipe my badge to get in and out of doors.  I also carried a key on the badge reel in addition to my id badge.  The magnet is strong enough to do this.  However, there is a limit, and I have heard from customers that these do not support the weight of multiple keys and an id badge reel.  If you have that, you may prefer one of my clip on badge reels or a beaded or chain id badge lanyard.
