Custom Made Personalized Treat Jar or Pet Urn

zig-jar (2) (1024x1024)
This listing is for a personalized pet jar which can be used for dog treats, art or office supplies, snacks, or as a memorial urn for pets who have passed away. As a memorial urn you can store your dog’s ashes, a tuft of fur, whiskers, dog tags, collar or anything else you want to remember your pet by. Each of these personalized pet jars are custom made just for you and I take a great deal of time and effort to re-create your pet in polymer clay. When you place your order I’ll ask you to send several good pictures of your dog and I’ll use those pictures to re-create your pup in polymer clay. For this listing I sculpted my boyfriend’s dog, Ziggi, also known as The Ziggster. This is Ziggi’s “yoga pose”, which he gets into when he’s begging for a dog biscuit. Using Premo polymer clay I’ll sculpt your dog in any pose you choose, paying close attention to detail and doing my very best to capture your pet’s personality. These miniatures are sculpted by hand, without the use of any molds, which makes each and every one a unique, one of a kind original creation. I textured the fur and painted the details of the dog’s coat with acrylic paint. This sculpture measures four inches tall. Depending on the pose your sculpture will measure about the same. I use a half pint glass mason jar with a wide mouth metal lid and securely attach the sculpture to the lid with a 2 inch screw and glue. I cover the top of the lid with polymer clay (green and textured like grass with one of Ziggi’s string toys at his feet for this particular jar). I also cover the glass jar with clay and add a polymer clay plaque with your pet’s name stamped into the clay. If you’re using this as a memorial jar I can stamp a date on the plaque as well. After baking the clay I paint the letters with acrylic paint to make them stand out. I can also stamp decorative embellishments around the back and sides of the jar. For Ziggi’s jar I stamped paw prints wandering around the jar, since Ziggi loves to wander (and leave his paw prints wherever he goes). Once the jar is painted I use several coats of high gloss glaze to protect the paint and add shine and durability to the jar. Polymer clay is very strong, once baked and can withstand regular handling. These jars can be hand washed and since I’m using glass mason jars they’re safe for food storage. I can also use a larger mason jar for an additional fee. Larger jars would be perfect to store dog biscuits or other treats, while the smaller ones would work well for small dog treats like liver snacks. I can make a personalized pet jar for any type of pet you may have as long as you have good pictures of the pet. I’ve been sculpting animals for over 10 years now and have sculpted cats, dogs, ferrets, skunks, rabbits, mice, fish, turtles, birds, and many others.
