At Home Farm Herbery we strive to produce the best herbs, seeds, teas, and seasonings we can and one of our favorites is this French heirloom used in the late 1800’s to manufacture gherkins (cornichons). This cucumber is also known as Improved Bourbonne.

Listed in 1892 by James J. H. Gregory of Marblehead, Massachusetts it produces a cucumber that is dark green color, firm thick flesh and has inconspicuous seeds. This cucumber can be used small for pickling within 50 days or let it grow larger for slicing in 70 days.
