These writing instruments are very comfortable in the hand. They are nearly identical in form (no two of my pieces are ever truly identical!) with complementary satin pearl and gun metal settings, a little shorter than your average pen but slightly more substantial to hold. They’re really a joy to use.
Each is cut from a single block of hand-mixed swirling, semi-translucent lime green acrylic with hints of black,
shaped and sanded up to 10,000 grit on a lathe and buffed to a high gloss shine. The settings are a demure satin pearl and a shiny dark gun metal. The pens open with a twist and write in ballpoint black ink. Ink refills are available in any office supply store, ensuring this pen set will be used and loved for many years.
The swirling, translucent green reminded me of a science-fiction alien planet landscape, hence the name “Venusian Landscape.”
