Yes, I made my own tie dyed glass!!! This is a fused tie dye trinket, keepsake or jewelry box. A shiny silver border surround these clear textured mother of pearl pieces of glass which surround the tie dye glass in the center of this lid. I wanted to make something in glass using the tie dye design and couldn’t find any glass that I liked, so yes, I made my own.
The sides and bottom of this box have same clear textured mother of pearl pieces of glass as in the lid surrounding the tie dye design I’ve made many of these boxes in various colors, shapes and sizes and are practical enough to store anything, even your craft items. I’ve added the same silver colored lid chain (as shown) in order to keep the lid upright. Clear rubber feet are also attached to ensure no harm comes to this piece or your furniture.

Size is 5 x 5 x 2 inches.

I use the Tiffany copper foil method of stained glass, and then brightly polish the solder. Each piece of glass is cut by me. I created the tie dye design on a piece of glass and then fuse the glass in order to create the design in the center of this box. It’s an extra step to take; however, I like to “fuse” mediums together to see what happens. I think incorporating fused glass into my stained glass creations gives the pieces a little more depth and most importantly look totally groovy!
