Bold and beautiful, large and chunky, faceted rich teal banded agate gemstones make a wonderful fashion statement. These are real semi-precious agate gemstones. The teal coloring is a rich blue green shade. The photos are actually a touch more blue than the actual stones which are a true blue green teal. Some of the stones have distinctive white to gray banding throughout. Some of these agates will be opaque and others will be translucent. I have paired these large agate nuggets with a wonderful moss opalite stone. Moss opalite is a true opal found in Kansas that has dendritic black mossy growths within the stones. Each stone is unique in appearance. On each side of the opalite I used antique silver-plated corrugated metal rounds.
The necklace is 21 inches in length and has been finished off with sterling silver wire guards which will protect the wire from wear, and smooth sterling silver bead caps. For the closure I selected a .925 sterling silver lobster claw clasp and added 1/2 inch of sterling silver chain with a matching faceted agate round.
The necklace will come with a complimentary jewelry pouch. BONUS: I will also include a simple pair of matching earrings on sterling silver-filled ear wires. A great bargain for a complete set.
