This 2″ x 6″ handmade bookmark features an original photograph of a hot air balloon at sunrise, printed on fabric and accented with dark, multi-colored seed beads that spell out the word read in uncontracted (Grade 1) braille. The braille incorporated into the bookmark is created using appealing oil-colored seed beads that shimmer in the just-brightening morning sky above the silhouette of the hot air balloon. The word “read” reflects the dawn lights as the sun rises over the horizon. The back of the bookmark is finished with a soft gray fabric covered with a random pattern of shimmery yet understated silver dots that echo the braille dots forming the word on the front of the bookmark.
