fun beach style blue chalkboard or blackboard. I painted a recycled wood frame with a coastal blue color, giving it a distressed, weathered look. The glass insert was primed and painted with a black chalkboard finish. For added beach cottage style I added assorted shells in one corner of the turquoise frame. The other corner is decorated with a piece of genuine coral and a raffia bow. These sea shells are ones found right here on my local Southern California beaches!

This would be a fantastic addition to a beach cottage, vacation home, or anywhere you want that summer feel.
