Handmade Murano Venetian confetti glass teardrop beads straight from Italy are the focus for these earrings. I found them while digging through boxes of handmade beads in Murano. They start with a black base that is accented with lots of 24K gold leaf. Lots of glass confetti is melted on top of that and they are encased in clear which adds even more depth. The colors include blue, red, green, yellow white, black and orange on top of the gold leaf. I framed them with gold fill round beads. Above them is a black onyx 4-sided pillow bead. A gold fill saucer bead tops everything. They are securely wire wrapped on gold fill wire and hang on gold fill, shepherds hook style ear wires. They measure a little over 2″ (5.1 cm) from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the earring.
