This bead embroidered cuff was made during Bead Soup Blog Party 8.
The polymer clay focal was especially made for me by Lisa Suver of Fanceethat (link to her etsy shop below). I immediately saw a bracelet when I looked at it and after a few mis-starts this is what I got!
This bead embroidered piece is done on pellon and finished with faux white leather. Seed beads in sizes 15/0, 11/0, 8/0 and 6/0 were used as well as 11/0 delica. The bracelet was done in 3 parts: middle, 2 sides then put together with Swarovski crystals and finished with an antique brass decorative lobster clasp.
The length is 8 1/2″ when laid flat, however since of the construction it sits like a cuff and can fit wrists smaller then that without risk of falling off (I have a 7″ wrist and wore it doing 70 on my motorcycle as a test – it definitely passed!) After finished I stored it around a rolled up towel to achieve the “rounder” shape, and suggest storing it this way when not wearing it.
