Some are seemingly born knowing their passion and others fall into it. Such is the case of Gail; the owner and creative powerhouse behind Hears and Sow Designs. This talented lady boasts a degree in Early Childhood Education from OSU but her love shows through when it comes to family and life.
Gail has always been crafty; everything from decorating cakes and creating centerpieces as well as a host of other treasures for craft shows and family; but heart really began racing when it comes to fabric. In Gail’s words, “I am a crafter by nature and a seamstress by choice.” While she has always sewed, thanks to the teachings of her mother, it was in 2007 that Gail was looking for a cute apron and not finding what she was after…solution? Make one herself of course!
This choice has spawned a business filled with care and love. Gail did not stop at aprons, but instead has a shop full of everything from lap blankets to prayer cloths to turbans to tote bags to flower hair clips…like walking through the cutest little gift shop around! Each item is made with love and attention because, as Gail says, she wants to “sow seeds of love into others lives as an inspiration to them,” hence the name Heart and Sow Designs. She believes in covering each item with “love and prayers.”
Are you ready to see what this woman with a heart for sharing love can do with a bit of fabric? Well, she is easy to find on Artfire as well as on her own Website. You can follow her creative life on her blog as well as on Facebook.
I love Gail’s work. She creates because she loves to make items that give inspiration and encouragement to others. Lovely motive and lovely gifts. Thank you for this feature which hi-lights her craftsmanship.
