I kept the antique, worn look of the frame but restained it. I painted the corner leaves a metallic champagne color and a dark patina under the shells outlining the picture opening. Twigs with tiny new buds, also, outline the inside opening. I matted some fabric and glued sea shells to form a sculpture design with dimension. The frame, twigs and shells are all coated with a clear varnish. This is a very pretty picture and very unique.
Outside dimensions are 7″ x 6″ x 1″. The picture opening is 4 3/4 x 3 3/4. Hanger is attached to hang vertically, but I”m including this silver stand so you can set this pretty picture anywhere. I think it would look better sitting on a table,desk or vanity rather than on a wall.
