Tea Light Aqua Pagoda Style

This aqua pagoda shaped tea light will add pizazz to any mantle or table. If you prefer to use it in the garden, it will make a cool little gnome or toad house. Just be sure not to leave it out in the cold winter months.

Hand made of white stoneware clay, I begin by throwing a cylinder on the potters wheel. I cut the top to accomodate whatthe roof and use tiny tools to cut the windows.

After bisque firing to 1940 degrees, It gets 3 coats of glaze and popped back into the kiln for a Cone 6 glaze fire to 2350 degrees. It is in this firing that the clay is completely cured and the glaze shines.

Each house is a unique handmade piece created in a limited edition. I make what strikes my fancy at the time, so I may never make these again.

Each piece of House of the Rising Star Pottery is hand thrown on the potter’s wheel, glazed in lead-free glazes and fired. It is here where the kiln gods transform the final product, giving each piece its unique look.
