The oxidisation on these circular silver post earrings contrasts with the polished finish of the rims, and gives them a really striking look.

They are lovely neat little everyday earrings, perfect to wear in situations where larger dangly earrings wouldn’t be suitable.

Each earring is formed from a circle of sheet silver, which has been slightly domed. Silver earring posts have been soldered to the back, and they come complete with silver butterfly backs.

The earrings were oxidised, until they turned a dark blue grey slate tone. I then polished the posts, and the backs and rims of the circles, so that they are shiny silver again, leaving the patina inside the domed area only.
