About Fused Glass: Coloured glass is cut or crushed and arranged into a layered design, sometimes using pre-fired components. The layered stack of glass is kiln-fired to fuse the glass pieces into one solid piece. Once cooled, the piece is fired again in a mold, to shape the glass into its desired form.
