Very attractive hip flask incorporating leather from Britain’s last oak bark tannery.

Oak bark tanning is a traditional and ancient technique and this flask is decorated with a unique design, made to our specification.

The leather is substantial (not thin and flimsy) at about 1/8″ (3 to 3.5mm)

3 oz (88 cl approx) capacity. Measures approximately W. 3″ (8 cm) x H. 3 1/2″ (9 cm)

Hand dyed.

Hand polished using local beeswax from East Sussex.

Comes in a handmade velveteen slip case.

Please bear in mind that leather is a natural product and each hide or skin comes from an animal and will therefore not be identical. Oak bark tanning takes approximately 18 months and also affects the finished article. The uniqueness of each piece of leather enhances the individuality of the finished item. All this helps to make each flask unique.
