I became interested in sewing while working for a retail store that sold furniture. They had a "fabric room" where the customers would choose their fabric for their couches and chairs. Twice a year a lot of the fabrics were discontinued and the owners asked me if I wanted them. I thought they were so beautiful I couldn't imagine throwing them away! So I started to experiment with them and learned the art of decorative accent pillows! I now do custom pillows for interior designers in my area. From the pillow business I have transitioned into my one of a kind handbags still using the discontinued fabrics given to me. I love doing these!
