I knit these darling booties using my great-grandmother’s pattern on size 1 needles. They are made of Paton’s Lacette yarn, (mohair/nylon/acrylic blend) and are incredibly soft. They can be machined washed, delicate cycle, cold water, then laid flat to dry. Booties are shown with ribbon ties and crocheted yarn ties. Both sets of ties are included. The matching headband uses a popcorn stitch which makes it very lacy-looking and stretchy. It’s a wonderful photo prop!
The booties measure 3.25 (8.25 cm) inches heel-to-toe, and are 3 inches (7.75 cm) tall. Having made and used these booties for my own children and grandchildren, I can honestly tell you that they do stay on! The headband, laid flat, is 5.5. inches(14cm) and will easily stretch to 7 inches (18 cm).
So sweet!
Thanks, Larissa!
