Conquering the world... one keychain at a time. I am a plecostomus of the woodworking tank. I constantly hunt interesting morsels of wood and give them other incarnations as personalized and cherished mementos. 90% of my wood comes from woodworkers of a higher order, in the form of cut-offs and unusable scraps (to them) that I buy or trade for. I have also been known to dis-assemble antiques that are beyond repair and rescue their vitals from the clutches of the landfill dozers. I will gladly trade my work for interesting chunks of hardwood that you have laying about. Contact me for more info on this or any other subject. I'd enjoy hearing from you. Although I take on larger jobs from time to time, I try to keep my works small and easy to ship. In addition to (and in between) making my woodstuffs, I have been a cabinetmaker, signmaker, antiques dealer and restorer, graphic artist, house framer, draftsman, baby-sitter for robots (paper mill), cook and dishwasher. I have worked with wood as long as I can remember. In 1982, I met my wife, Julie, while carving wood in the Black Hills of South Dakota. She was a candle carver extraordinaire, and we traveled these United States for eight years, doing shows in malls, fairs, theme parks and tourist attractions. The "road life" allowed us to see much of the U.S. that we probably wouldn't have seen otherwise, but does get wearisome. We settled back home in 1989. I am currently subsidizing my woodworking jones with a gig as a part-time Consultative Sales Associate (toolmonger) at our local Sears store. Come see me there!
