Gifts with a Purpose
When I make or design an item that has several functions, the joy of working with a purpose returns. I have explored my ideas, became inspired to new ideas and finally created an item that fits and feels right in all they ways I need it to. This all leads to creating gifts with a purpose.
Do gifts need a purpose? Not really. A short reminder about what goes into any design I make: it has to be functional, serve a purpose, be as green as possible and focused on the recipient – YOU!
Family Heirlooms
I am betting most of you have a few treasures around you see as family heirlooms, including those old tools given to you.Family Heirlooms tell a story. They speak to us with a small glimpse of the past and provide us with a bit of our own personal history.
I am especially fond of the Pieces of Sunshine Quilt Block for several reasons:

- It is made from upcycled fabric
- It will tell a story
- You can make totes, purses, quilts, runners and more
