About myohomarketplace
Hello! Welcome! My name is Noriko. Who knew writing a statement about yourself would be so difficult. Do I keep it up and up super professional? Or, do I let my personality come through? I have decided that I am going to be me. It is too difficult to write something that does not feel "right." It effects the descriptions for my products and my blog posts as well. I can be a good business woman and still have fun. So, here is the story... ?Way back in the day, I thought a career in nursing was what I wanted. I went to nursing school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. While in school, I had my son and daughter. I did finish school and started working. Every day that I worked, I left my children at daycare. That single act tore my heart out each time. One day when I picked them up, there was a huge accident on the highway. Traffic was at a stand still. My son and daughter were in their car seats. I knew it was getting close to time to nurse my daughter. The crying started. I pulled off the side of the road and nursed her. At that moment, I decided that I was leaving the work force to raise my children. Being a mom was my calling. There has been no greater joy in my life than being with them, raising them and watching them grow. ?My son is now a sophomore in college. My daughter is graduating high school this year. My husband works a lot. He is a realtor and the market is great. All this has brought me to my current dilemma. What am I going to do with all the time I have on my hands now that they are grown and my husband works so much? ?I know. I'll open my own business selling items that I handcraft. Since my daughter is still in the house, working for myself allows me flexibility to be with her for everything. Once my daughter graduates and heads off to college, the plan is to open a brick and mortar store front along with my studio. You know the saying "handmade with love?" I feel that my items really are made with love. I completely enjoy every moment of the creative process. I want a beautiful piece to inspire happiness and love. ?That is my story. Thank you for stopping by. I hope you find something in my store that makes you smile. View all posts by myohomarketplace
