This Ocean Jasper is very high quality with gorgeous shades of grays and very distinct white orbs; circles that appear like a stone in a lake with a ripple effect.
OCEAN JASPER WAS FOUND OFF THE NW COAST OF MADAGASCAR. ROUGHLY TEN YEARS AGO AFTER TWO EXPEDITION’S FOR A STONE WRITTEN ABOUT IN A 1920’S EXPLORATION BOOK; OCEAN JASPER WAS DISCOVERED. MINED AT LOW TIDE WITH ONLY HAND TOOLS, IT WAS BROUGHT BACK ONLY BY BOAT DUE TO A ROUGH TERRAIN AND POOR ROADS (trails). THIS EXQUISITE STONE IS NO LONGER BEING FOUND. NO NEW SITES HAVE BEEN DISCOVERED IN YEARS.
